SKYLIFT GUIDE
Elevator Quotation Checklist: What to Review
A written elevator quotation helps you compare the scope of work as well as the price. Before choosing, check the specifications, site preparation, installation, handover, payment terms and exclusions for your project.
1. Elevator specifications and stops
Check the proposed elevator type, capacity, number of stops, cabin and door specifications, finishes and any agreed options. Ask the team to explain any differences between quotations.
2. Supply, installation and site preparation
Ask which equipment and installation work are included, who is responsible for civil and electrical preparation, and whether site access or other work is excluded. The technical team confirms requirements after reviewing the site and drawings.
3. Testing, handover and schedule
Review the proposed stages and handover requirements, when the delivery period starts, and any conditions that may affect the schedule. Ask which tests and documents are included in the proposal.
4. Price, payment and validity
Check the total price, payment schedule, taxes shown in the offer, validity period and the process for changes to scope. Request a written explanation of additional charges before approving them.
5. Warranty and maintenance
Review the warranty period and conditions, included maintenance, spare parts and exclusions. The final agreement defines what applies to your project; do not assume two offers provide the same coverage.
How can you compare two quotes?
List the same project requirements for each quote, then mark each item as included, excluded, or needing written clarification. Ask the provider to explain differences before comparing the totals.
- Specifications, stops and finishes.
- Site preparation, supply, installation and testing.
- Total price, taxes, payments and excluded costs.
- Schedule start and conditions, warranty, maintenance and spare parts.
Questions to ask before you decide
Does the offer list the agreed specifications? What site works are included? When does the schedule start? What is excluded? How are changes approved? What warranty and maintenance terms are written?
Discuss your project
Prepare the project location, building type, number of stops and any available plans or photos. Share the details through the quotation request so the team can review the requirements with you.
